Where is the Conference?

How can I get to the Miyako Messe from my hotel?
Google Maps can provide you with the quickest route to get to the conference center using the bus line. Taxis can be called by the front desk of your hotel. Prepare to leave early the first few days of the conference to give yourself time to make it to the conference center.

You can Download the Whova Mobile App or access it from the Web Platform on desktop:
- View the event agenda and plan your personal schedule
- Access to documents and slides shared by organizers or speakers
- Find who else is attending this event and reach out to people ahead of time
- Plan some social activities such as a morning run, coffee hours, or meet-ups with your fellow attendees. You can even post job openings.
- Receive updates such as last minute session changes from the organizers
After downloading the Whova mobile app or accessing the event via the web portal, use the email address you registered with to login.
How can I view the on-demand content?
On-demand content will be uploaded to the meeting app within 2 weeks of the presentation.

Registration FAQ
Can I still register for the 18th IZFC?
Virtual registration is open until September 23, and all virtual materials will remain available until November 21.

COVID-19 & Other Illness
Are there any precautions I should take before attending the 18th IZFC?
The 18th International Zebrafish Conference will be attended by over 600 attendees from around the globe. We recommend the following precautions to prepare and avoid illness when traveling to Kyoto:
- Consider packing masks and using them when in crowded areas
- Consider packing COVID-19 testing kits
- If you are not feeling well, please do not attend the conference to help decrease the spread of illness to other attendees
- Review the guidelines from the Japanese National Tourism Organization regarding COVID-19 and your local government
IZFS is not liable for any attendees who contract COVID-19 or other illness.
What should I do if I am ill?
If you are not feeling well, do not attend conference programming.
Use this guide if you are ill.
Should I be worried about heatstroke?
Kyoto is hot and humid this time of the year. Heatstroke can be prevented. Increase your water intake and replenish electrolytes if you spend a long period outside.
